Meet the dentists
Dr QUINCY LEUNG
BDSc (UWA) PostGradDip DentalImplantology
I graduated at the University of Western Australia in 2004, and have been working in private dental practice since then.
I enjoy a full range of dentistry, from maintenance of dental health and simple fillings to wisdom teeth extractions, implants, crowns and Invisalign.
I regularly attend professional development courses locally and internationally to further my knowledge and skill in all areas of dentistry.
To further my knowledge and expertise in the area of dental implant, I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology after 2 years of intensive training at Sydney.
I am confident that I can restore my patient’s smiles with dental implant treatment with the knowledge and the experience I obtained from this course.
With a keen interest to help other people, I supported a variety of charity work.
Twice yearly working with Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation, I have provided dental materials and treat disadvantage groups in our society at Oral Health Centre of WA.
It’s always satisfying seeing all the smiling faces after their pain and problems are fixed.
My personal interest includes tennis, badminton and soccer, and I am a big fan of Manchester United Football Club.
I have two little children and we spend a lot of time during the weekend running around parks and Perth Zoo.
Dr JAMIE CHUA
BDS (Otago NZ)
In 2004, I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. Since then, I worked as a private dental practitioner in Singapore and Perth.
I joined Phoenix Road Dental Surgery in 2009 when my husband, Dr Quincy Leung bought over the practice.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, in particular seeing children for their dental needs.
I always strive to provide high standard of dental care to all my patients in a gentle and relaxed environment.
I am committed to attending Continuing Professional Development to keep up with the latest innovations in dentistry, ensuring I can give the best level of care to my patients.
Currently I am in the process of completing a Graduate Diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine in the University of Western Australia.
This is a formal training in sleep medicine, both theoretically and clinically, to use oral appliances to treat sleep apnea.
With the knowledge gained from this qualification, I hope to help patients stop snoring, clear the airway to breathe better so they can get good quality sleep.
Aside from dentistry, I enjoy cooking, baking and playing sports such as badminton, tennis and swimming. I am married with two daughters.
Dr MICHAEL FONG
Hello there! I was born in Perth and have lived here my whole life, studying a Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Western Australia. I really enjoy the privilege of being a general dentist and the variety of work we are faced with on a daily basis. I hope that I can provide you a service that not only benefits your teeth, but your general oral health, and most importantly, you as a person. I pride myself in the quality of treatment I can offer you, however I feel at the end of the day I need to address your own concerns so you leave our clinic with a smile!
Outside of work I enjoy a variety of sport including basketball, soccer and football. I am also curious to travel and experience different cultures and marvel at God's intricate creations.
Dr LAURA WHITE
BDSc (UWA) Hons
Having been a Perth girl all her life, Laura graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Dental Science with honours. She enjoys the diversity of work that general dentistry provide as much as the wide variety of people she meets through the role. Laura is very gentle and particularly enjoys putting nervous patients at ease during their treatment and working with them to become more confident in visiting the dentist. Outside of dentistry, Laura enjoys nothing more than hanging out with her husband, baking or reading a good book.
Dr MIM MIN TEY
I graduated in 2004 from the University of Western Australia. Since graduating from university, I have worked both in the public and private sectors of dentistry.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. I grew up having decay on most of my primary teeth as a result of poor diet control and poor oral hygiene.
So I did not like to smile and also had somewhat of a low self-esteem.
Now, as a dentist, I take great pride and joy in being able to restore my patients’ confidence when they smile. It can make such a difference.
I aim to also educate all of my patients on their oral health, believing that it is better to prevent the problem than to restore it.
It is important to me that I provide an excellent, tailored and honest service to my patients, with gentleness, compassion and integrity.
Besides dentistry I enjoy baking, gardening, singing and crafting. I am married with three children.
My husband and I enjoy going on missionary trips to provide dental and medical treatment to people who are less privileged.
